Onboarding Time Calculator
Estimates how long it will take to connect your camera fleet using FLASH. The questions adapt based on your answers.
Core inputs (always shown) — in the TELL US ABOUT YOUR FLEET panel
- How many cameras do you want to connect? — your total fleet across all sites.
- Across how many sites? — how many physical locations those cameras are spread across.
- Which camera brands do you use? — opens the WHICH CAMERA BRANDS DO YOU USE? dialog. Brands are grouped into two tracks: FLASH ONBOARDING (direct alarm receipt: SMTP / FTP / API) and FAST ONBOARDING via GC Edge (ONVIF-compatible platforms), each split into sub-groups for cameras, recorders and video platforms. Scroll and select all that apply; the dialog shows an n selected counter and closes with Done. Once brands are chosen the button reads Edit brands. Your selection drives the questions that follow.
Conditional inputs (appear based on brand selection)
- How many of your {total} cameras are direct-integration brands? — shown only when your brand selection includes a mix of direct-integration and non-direct-integration cameras. The rest are onboarded via the GC Edge plugin. Both tracks add up to your total.
- How are your direct-integration cameras connected? — shown when direct-integration brands are selected. Choose one:Publicly reachable — cameras are accessible from the cloud directly. Result: FLASH ONBOARDING IN MINUTES (fully remote estimate).Private VPN — cameras are behind a private network. Two more questions appear:Who is managing the customer/site’s network? — determines whether remote configuration is possible. Choose: Monitoring Centre Managed Network or Customer/Installer Managed Network.Which router manages your VPN? — shown when Customer/Installer Managed Network is selected. Choose: Teltonika or Other router. Result: FAST GUIDED ONBOARDING (guided, site by site estimate).
Output
- Your Onboarding Estimate — appears live. Shows the estimated time under a Resulting in heading, the onboarding scenario, and your total cameras and sites. Three result headings are possible: Flash Onboarding in Minutes (fully remote, in minutes), Fast Guided Onboarding (guided, site by site), and Fast Onboarding with GC Edge (once GC Edge is installed). When your fleet spans both tracks the panel is headed Your fleet splits into two tracks and notes that your GC Edge cameras are set up with you during onboarding. Very large fleets add a line confirming that exact timing is agreed with you. The panel ends with Start your free trial or Book your guided onboarding, plus Start over. Measured times cover software onboarding only — assisted and Edge paths include physical setup on top, depending on site readiness. This is an approximate estimate only — actual onboarding time varies with site conditions, network readiness, and camera accessibility.
- Validation — while fields are incomplete the results panel shows A little more needed. followed by Fields outlined in red need a number above zero. Field-level messages name what is still missing: the number of cameras, the number of sites, at least one camera brand, how many cameras are direct-integration brands, how your cameras connect, who manages the network, and your router.
Performance Calculator
Shows projected APT reduction, CPO gain, and TPO gain with GC Surge. Results update live. The inputs and outputs shown depend on what type of operation you select in question 1.
Question 1: What does this centre monitor?
The panel is headed ENTER YOUR CENTRE INFORMATION. Pick one option to load the right inputs:
- Fixed Cameras (fixed CCTV only) — loads questions 2–8. Outputs: APT reduction + CPO gain.
- Mobile Cameras (e.g. surveillance towers) — loads questions 2–9. Outputs: APT reduction + TPO gain.
- Fixed and Mobile Cameras (dual support) — loads questions 2–10. Outputs: APT reduction + CPO gain + TPO gain.

Outputs — shown in the WHAT GC SURGE WOULD CHANGE panel:
- Alarm Processing Time (APT) reduction — projected percentage reduction and hours saved per operator per day. Shown for all three options.
- Cameras per Operator (CPO) gain — shown for Fixed Cameras and Fixed and Mobile Cameras.
- Towers per Operator (TPO) gain — shown for Mobile Cameras and Fixed and Mobile Cameras.
Two controls sit below the results. See the workings, current versus GC Surge expands in place into a PER DAY table with CURRENT and GC SURGE columns and four rows: Alarms left after the false alarm filter, Operator hours spent on those alarms, Hours one operator spends on alarms per shift, and Share of a shift spent on alarms. Two notes sit under the table: the filter removes false alarms only and real alarms always pass through to an operator; and GC Surge replaces your current filter with NOVA99x and runs each workflow through ZenMode rather than stacking on top of your filter.
Assumptions, edit if you know better opens a dialog. Its intro states that the values are set from GC Surge’s measured performance and from industry benchmarks, that you do not need to touch them, and that every one is open and adjustable so nothing is hidden. Six assumptions can be edited: Operator time spent on alarm processing, Shifts per day, Hours per shift, Fixed unavailable time, Capacity held in reserve, and Most cameras one operator may ever hold. The dialog closes with Close.
Results are illustrative estimates only — not a binding offer, guarantee, or warranty. Actual APT reduction, capacity gains, and savings depend on site conditions, network readiness, integration scope, and operational practices.
